okay ima keep it real on this one im watchin this new york goes to work thing and now ima let yall know how i feel...the start of her career was when she was on flavor flav show and everybody knew her as the loud obnoxious girl that was always in a fight..after she lost the first season people kinda had her in the head as the one that lost but nothing serious..she comes back for the second season and the same thing happens once again and now her and her mother are pretty much c or d list celebrities..and for the record she lost the second season on purpose i remember she was bout to win they went on the boat and she pretty much made sure that she lost..now to tell you the truth that was the smartest decision of her career cause now she was known as the girl that got her heartbroken twice and you could tell that she was going to get her own show..she does and its basically flavs show for another 2 seasons with dudes acting a fool instead of girls acting a fool and i personally feel it wasnt as good because instead of flavs comic relief when crazy shit happened, you now had new york making it even worse..now we are officially at the peak of her career..so after getting her heart "broken" four times on vh1 she was done with that and they gave her another spin-off cause someone told her she should become an actor(i dont know who that was) and she tried to do this, it didnt really work and it wasnt a good show at all so i guess sense hit her and she gave up on that dream..and now we have new york goes to work aka new york does jobs that dont seem overwhelmingly hard and bitches about them until she most likely doesnt get 10,000 dollars for doing a shitty job..if i had the same show i would be a very rich man if all i had to do was make beds at a nudist colony for 1 day to make 10,000 i would do it with a hard-on lol..i mean seriously she does do things i wouldnt wanna do everyday of my life for their average pay but 10,000 dollars will have me doing some wild shit..but we all know deep down that her career is almost at that point where your like you were good at what you did go back on another fake love show..they could put her on the love of ray j..or give another celebrity one and throw her on with other washed up flav girls..or they could put her on charm school cause that might make her more entertaining than she has been on her last couple shows..put her the chick that spit on her and 10 other wild chicks in a house and have the host be lala theres the show(no disrespect to lala but she aint gonna take none of their shit..or melo will be called lol) and maybe her celebrity will go back up to the point where it was at one point cause for real this is getting embarrassing to the average watcher..i aint sayin shes not more famous than the average vh1 love show girl..but if your on tv that isnt anything to brag about

Why We Don't Condemn Our Pirates

Can anyone ever really be for piracy? Outside of sea bandits, and young girls fantasizing of Johnny Depp, would anyone with an honest regard for good human conduct really say that they are in support of Sea Robbery?

Well, in Somalia, the answer is: it's complicated.

The news media these days has been covering piracy in the Somali coast with such
lop-sided journalism, that it's lucky they're not on a ship themselves. It's true that the constant hi-jacking of vessels in the Gulf of Aden is a major threat to the vibrant trade route between Asia and Europe. It is also true that for most of the pirates operating in this vast shoreline, money is the primary objective.

But according to so many Somalis, the disruption of Europe's darling of a trade route, is just Karma biting a perpetrator in the butt. And if you don't believe in Karma, maybe you believe in recent history. Here is why we Somalis find ourselves slightly shy of condemning our pirates.

Somalia has been without any form of a functioning government since 1991. And although its failures, like many other toddler governments in Africa, sprung from the wells of post-colonial independence, bad governance and development loan sharks, the specific problem of piracy was put in motion in 1992.

After the overthrow of Siyad Barre, our charmless dictator of twenty-some-odd years, two major forces of the Hawiye Clan came to power. At the time, Ali Mahdi, and General Mohamed Farah Aidid, the two leaders of the Hawiye rebels, were largely considered liberators. But the unity of the two men and their respective sub-clans was very short-lived. It's as if they were dumbstruck at the advent of ousting the dictator, or that they just forgot to discuss who will be the leader of the country once they defeated their common foe.

A disagreement of who will upgrade from militia leader to Mr. President broke up their honeymoon. It's because of this disagreement that we've seen one of the most decomposing wars in Somalia's history, leading to millions displaced and hundreds of thousands dead.

But war is expensive and militias need food for their families, and Jaad (an amphetamine-based stimulant) to stay awake for the fighting. Therefore, a good clan -based Warlord must look out for his own fighters. Aidid's men turned to robbing aid trucks carrying food to the starving masses, and re-selling it to continue their war. But Ali Mahdi had his sights set on a larger and more unexploited resource, namely: the Indian Ocean.

Already by this time, local fishermen in the coastline of Somalia have been complaining of illegal vessels coming to Somali waters and stealing all the fish. And since there was no government to report it to, and since the severity of the violence clumsily overshadowed every other problem, the fishermen went completely unheard.

But it was around this same time that a more sinister, a more patronizing practice
was being put in motion. A Swiss firm called Achair Parterns, and an Italian waste company called Achair Parterns, made a deal with Ali Mahdi, that they were to dump containers of waste material in Somali waters. These European companies were said to be paying Warlords about $3 a ton, whereas to properly dispose of waste in Europe costs about $1000 a ton.

In 2004, after a tsunami washed ashore several leaking containers, thousand of locals in the Puntland region of Somalia started to complain of severe and previously unreported ailments, such as abdominal bleeding, skin melting off and a lot of immediate cancer-like symptoms. Nick Nuttall, a spokesman for the United Nations Environmental Program, says that the containers had many different kinds of waste, including "Uranium, radioactive waste, lead, Cadmium, Mercury and chemical waste." But this wasn't just a passing evil from one or two groups taking advantage of our unprotected waters. The UN envoy for Somalia, Ahmedou Ould-Abdallah, says that the practice still continues to this day. It was months after those initial reports that local fishermen mobilized themselves, along with street militias, to go into the waters and deter the Westerners from having a free pass at completely destroying Somalia's aquatic life. Now years later, the deterring has become less noble, and the ex-fishermen with their militias have begun to develop a taste for ransom at sea. This form of piracy is now a major contributor to the Somali economy, especially in the very region that private toxic waste companies first began to burry our nation's death trap.

Now Somalia has upped the world's pirate attacks by over 21 percent in one year, and while NATO and the EU are both sending forces to the Somali coast to try and slow down the attacks, Black Water and all kinds of private security firms are intent on cashing in. But while Europeans are well in their right to protect their trade interest in the region, our pirates were the only deterrent we had from an externally imposed environmental disaster. No one can say for sure that some of the ships they are now holding for ransom were not involved in illegal activity in our waters. The truth is, if you ask any Somali, if getting rid of the pirates only means the continuous rape of our coast by unmonitored Western Vessels, and the producing of a new cancerous generation, we would all fly our pirate flags high.

It is time that the world gave the Somali people some assurance that these Western illegal activities will end, if our pirates are to seize their operations. We do not want the EU and NATO serving as a shield for these nuclear waste-dumping hoodlums. It seems to me that this new modern crisis is truly a question of justice, but also a question of whose justice.

As is apparent these days, one man's pirate is another man's coast guard.

cartoon, claiming that it's not about Obama, has no racial undertones,
and that it was simply referencing a recent incident when police
shot a pet chimpanzee. But it's impossible to believe that any
newspaper editor could be ignorant enough to not understand how this
cartoon evokes a history of racist symbolism, or how frightening this
image feels at a time when death threats against President Obama have
been on the rise.

The Post would have us believe that the cartoon is not about Obama.
But on the page just before the cartoon appears, there's a big picture
of Obama signing the stimulus bill. A reader paging through the Post
would see Obama putting pen to paper, then turn the page to see this
violent cartoon. The imagery is chilling.

There is a clear history in our country of racist symbolism that
depicts Black people as apes or monkeys, and it came up multiple times
during the presidential campaign.

We're also in a time of increased race-based violence. In the months
following President Obama's election there has been a nationwide surge
in hate crimes ranging from vandalism to assaults to arson on Black
churches. There has been an unprecedented number of threats against
President Obama since he was elected, with hate-based groups
fantasizing about the killing of the president. Just a week ago, a
man drove from Louisiana to the Capitol with a rifle, telling the
police who stopped him that he had a "delivery" for the president.

There is no excuse for the Post to have allowed this cartoon to be
printed, and even less for Editor Col Allan's outright dismissal of
legitimate concerns.

But let's be clear who's behind the Post: Rupert Murdoch. Murdoch, the
Post's owner, is the man behind FOX News Channel. FOX has continually

True Life

so im sitting here watching True life and todays episode is "True Life: Im on my first year in college" Theres the boy thats just getting his total independence from living at home. he ends up partying too much and fails a couple test. the 18 year old girl thats stuck in a relationship with her "clingy" high school sweetheart, so she cant party like she wants too. and theres this dude with a kid that plans to go to college, become a walk-on on the football team, and give his son everything he never had when he goes pro. he gets told to go home after he tried out lls (laughing like shit; yall might've knew that already but hey I just learned it so yeah) dont get it twisted im not hating. i actually congradulate dude for stepping up and trying make a way for his son. he did more for his son in this 60 minute show than my pops ever did for me (but we aint going get into all that) i just find it hilarious, unrealistic, and kinda sad that he's banking it all on going to the nfl. well thats pretty much the episode in a nut shell.....(hahaha nutt~shell) and it gave me the idea of having my own "True Life: Im in College" episode. this is what i have in my mind so far just follow me on this. the show starts like any regular True life show w/credits and all and then theres a black screen with words going across in white that read True Life: Im in College. then the screen fades to a close up of my face and im looking staight into the camera and i say " Im broke as shit!!!" with a imphasis on "shit!!!" and then fade to black and roll the end credits. thats its. thats all folks. i like it, tell me what you think.

Today i went on a blunt ride with some friends, only it was less of a ride and more of a parked on the side of the road dealeo. In the begining everything was cool we got a good one rotaton in then a cop passed so we decide to leave that spot. while driving all of a sudden we notice the cop popped up again, this time he was behind us so just to be cautious we put the blunt out and lited cigarettes to cover up the smell. the cop kept following so we took a turn to leave that area. the cop kept going straight so we thought everything was straight..... then out of nowhere again robocop is on the tail so we pass the blunt to someone in the back and tell em if we get pulled over to eat it. of coarse they were like aight. i know yall been in a situation before or atleast said or heard someone say "if anything go down eat the stash" or something to that nature but you never think it actually gotta be done...... this wasnt the case. we started to make moves on getting on a busy street to try to lose the rent-a-cop but he knew the deal and before we made it to the light he turned the lights on and pulled us over so we told em to get the munching. dude ask for the license and all that then my man ask why he got pulled over (stay on your toes when it come to this stuff) the cop wasn't ready for that and didnt have nothing so he tried to throw some bullshit about the tints on the windows. for some strange reason today i forgot my wallet and just my luck dude ask me for id and i didnt have any. so then he's pressing me out about whats my name, how do you spell it, where i live, when im born, that whole thing. but whole time robo wasnt even writing it down he was just sticking his head in the car trying smell the herb(normally im against the use of tobacco produts but this time they came in handy cause all he could smell was that poisonous nicotine). then he pulls out the one that ate the blunt takes em to his car and shows em some papers they come back then he comes to my window and shows me the paper with a picture of a dude robbing a bank. robocop ask me if i knew that person and ofcoarse i was like no (i really didnt know dude tho and if i did i wasnt going say yeah) then he says oh i was just wondering because he kinda looks like you..... what a fucking geniuse!!! lets just say i did rob the bank and the cop showed me a picture of myself caught in the act and then asked me if it was me....of coarse im not going to say yes. im mean if it was you would you say yes??? i think not. now back to it. i dont even see how he thought it looked like me, the dude in the pic was wearing a hat down to the top of his eyes and a bandana on his face up to the bottom of his eyes. well actually i do see why, the dude was black with dreads. remember my first blog post where i talked about being a 6ft 4in black dude with dreads living in harford county. see i wasnt being a crying black person pulling the race card, i mean when the last time any of yall been told yall look like somebody that robbed a bank just cause yall got the same skin color and hair style. but hey im over it cause i been through alot with these bored ass cops out here and all cops in genral but this time he had nothing on us so we got our first win!!! it was a feeling of triumph. Quote of Wensday "this must be how it feel for girls" cause ladies yall know yall stay getting off with a warning if anything. i guess the only downfall is the buzz i missed out on but hey you live and you learn and we aint parking on that street nomore besides there'll be more times to blaze.
